What is Brass?
Brass is a classic material for high-quality, representative signage. In engraving technology it is given a protective nylon lacquer coating that preserves the characteristic metallic look while protecting it against tarnishing and abrasion.

Surface and coating
Brass for engraving technology is available either high-gloss polished or satin-finished. Both versions are coated with a baked-on nylon lacquer that seals the surface without hiding its metallic character.
This coating protects the brass from natural tarnishing on exposure to air and keeps the gloss or matte appearance intact over a long period.
Processing
Brass can be both laser-engraved and CNC-machined, making it suitable for fine lettering as well as for contoured, routed shapes.
