PA 6 G OL yellow is a cast polyamide 6 special compound, coloured yellow, with internal oil lubrication. The integrated lubricating oil significantly improves sliding and wear behaviour and prevents stick-slip effects, while maintaining the high toughness of the PA6 G base material.

PA 6 G OL yellow is a cast polyamide 6 special compound, coloured yellow, with internal oil lubrication. The integrated lubricating oil significantly improves sliding and wear behaviour and prevents stick-slip effects, while maintaining the high toughness of the PA6 G base material. PA 6 G OL yellow is a cast, semi-crystalline polyamide with an integrated liquid lubricant. The embedded oil provides good sliding properties and reduces friction as well as stick-slip effects, without compromising the basic toughness of the PA6 G base material. Like all polyamides, PA 6 G OL yellow absorbs moisture from the environment; this makes the material tougher and more impact-resistant, while stiffness and dimensional stability decrease somewhat.
2How does Liedtke machine PA 6 G OL yellow?+
PA 6 G OL yellow can be machined like standard PA6 G using all conventional cutting methods; HSS or carbide tools are sufficient. Good cooling via chip removal remains important to avoid softening or smearing of the surface caused by heat build-up. For tight tolerances, we take swelling and shrinkage behaviour into account and condition the semi-finished product where required.
3When should I choose PA 6 G OL yellow?+
PA 6 G OL yellow is used wherever good sliding properties and smooth, jerk-free motion without stick-slip effects are needed, for example in mechanical engineering and conveyor technology. The yellow colouring also makes it easy to visually distinguish from other colour variants.
